MDF GRINDER
High-efficiency crushing, energy saving and consumption reduction, the MDF grinder is adaptable to multiple scenarios.
MDF GRINDER FOR SALE
Dedicated crushing equipment for medium-density fiberboard, suitable for various medium and large-scale processing scenarios.
The MDF grinder, also called the MDF crusher or MDF chipper, is specialized equipment designed for medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and related wood-based panels. Unlike the familiar wood grinder, which focuses on crushing the MDF and polywood board waste, the MDF crusher emphasizes highly efficient recycling. It can quickly crush MDF boards and scraps into small pieces of wood chips to meet subsequent processing needs, such as the production of fuel wood chips or biomass wood pellets.

WASTE MDF BOARD GRINDER TYPES

Small MDF Grinder
Hammer type MDF grinder, a small machine that can only shred relatively small MDF waste boards.

MDF Chipper
The drum type heavy-duty MDF chipper, hammer design and a widened feeding port, making it suitable for 1m width MDF waste.

Industrial Wood Waste Grinder
Large industrial MDF waste shredders can be fed using grab cranes and are suitable for use in power plants.

MDF Crushing Machine
It can directly crush MDF boards into wood chips, but the board width cannot exceed 500 mm, and the output is limited to 2 tons/hour. It is suitable for use in conjunction with a pellet mill.

MDF Shredder
This small MDF board shredder features a double-roller design, low speed, and high torque, making it suitable for shredding various types of wood.
HEAVY DUTY INDUSTRIAL MDF GRINDING MACHINE DISPLAY
This video showcases the structure and no-load operation of a medium-density fiberboard (MDF) grinder. The machine features a large feed port, built-in heavy-duty hammers for excellent crushing performance, and a 430 hp diesel engine providing powerful crushing capacity. Equipped with wheels, the crusher can be moved around the work site. The grinding machine operates stably with an extremely low failure rate. The hydraulically opened and closed crushing chamber facilitates maintenance and hammer replacement. This machine is suitable for applications involving MDF waste, furniture factory scraps, construction templates, and biomass fuel production. If you are looking for a robust, durable, efficient, labor-saving, and stable MDF crusher, this machine is the ideal choice.
MDF CRUSHER STRUCTURE INTRODUCTION

Chain Feeding System
MDF wood waste recycling machine usually is designed with chain feeding system, but you could also choose the belt type feeding system for saving cost. Chain conveyor feeding system has a high load-bearing capacity and are suitable for handling heavy, large, or stacked MDF sheets and scraps, so you can use a grab machine for feeding. It’s more impact-resistant, less prone to jamming or slippage, and ideal for continuous, high-intensity industrial crushing operations. While belt conveyor feeding system has a simpler structure and lower operating noise. Belt type feeding system is is more suitable for light to medium loads or small to medium-sized production lines, but with lower maintenance costs.
MDF Grinder Main Part
The MDF grinder is welded from thickened, high-quality steel plates, resulting in a robust and durable structure. The wood grinder mainly consists of a main roller, heavy-duty hammers, an upper feed roller, a motor, and a screening unit. The number of heavy duty hammers can be flexibly adjusted according to the type of raw material and the required size of the finished wood chips. The hammers wear very slowly and can be recycled after welding repairs, thus minimizing the machine’s maintenance costs.
Wood Chips Discharging System
Finished wood chips or crushed material fall directly onto the discharge conveyor belt. For the discharge conveyor belt, there are two main designs in the market: one is a single curved discharge conveyor belt, and the other is two independent conveyor belts—one located at the bottom of the crusher to receive the material, and the other for stacking. Based on our more than 20 years of manufacturing experience and many customers’ feedback, the failure rate of the first design is significantly higher than the second one. Therefore, although the dual-belt design cost higher, we always using the second desity for minumum the failure rate.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the core differences between MDF crushers, ordinary wood crushers, and chippers?
The core difference lies in adaptability and processing method: chippers focus on “chipping,” producing uniform wood chips suitable for various wood raw materials; ordinary wood crushers focus on general crushing, which cannot adapt to the adhesion characteristics of MDF fibers, easily causing clumping and incomplete crushing; our MDF crusher is specially designed for MDF materials, focusing on granular crushing, which can solve the problem of MDF adhesion, and the crushed particles are uniform in size, suitable for subsequent recycling, and can be used in conjunction with chippers to realize the secondary processing of materials.
What is the maximum feed size? Can excessively large MDF sheets be directly crushed?
We recommend that the width of the boards be within 1500 mm. This is mainly because when the boards are too wide, it is necessary to choose larger sizes, which will increase the investment and operating costs. However, your production needs may not be very large. From the perspective of return on investment and cost-effectiveness, we recommend that the width of MDF or Polywood board waste should not exceed 1500 mm.
How often should the wear parts be changed? Is it easy to replace?
The MDF grinder’s main roller features a heavy-duty hammer design, resulting in slow wear. Furthermore, worn hammers can be repaired and restored using high-strength, wear-resistant welding rods, eliminating the need for replacement and significantly reducing maintenance and operating costs. This also saves machine maintenance time.
Can the equipment handle damp MDF materials?
That’s no problem, for dry and wet MDF waste boards, the grinder can crush them easily.
Can you provide installation and technical support?
Exactly, we provide detailed installation instructions and operation videos, and can provide remote guidance for installation and a test run guide. If you need on-site service from professional technicians, including installation, debugging, operator training, and troubleshooting, please contact us in advance, and we will schedule an appointment for you. We also offer online response, and we will reply to you within 2 hours (excluding nighttime in China). We will promptly answer any questions customers may have during use, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the equipment.
What is the footprint of the equipment? What conditions are required for installation?
The footprint of the equipment varies depending on the model. It has a small footprint and does not require complicated installation conditions. It can be placed indoors or outdoors. Simply ensure the ground is level and connect the power supply to start it up. Installation and debugging are convenient. Customers can easily complete the installation themselves by following the instructions.
Do you have customers doing MDF recycling near me?
You can leave your phone number or email address, and we will contact you soon. Then, you send your address, and we’ll check if there’s a customer near your factory, and then arrange your visit.
What is better? A chipper or a shredder.
The comparison between chippers and shredders has never stopped. In fact, which machine is better depends mainly on your raw materials. If it is wood-related raw materials, then chippers are much more efficient. However, if it is large-sized biomass raw materials in bales, then shredders are better.
Do you sell small wood chipper for MDF and polywood waste?
Yes, but we need check your raw material size and thickness firstly, because when the raw material size are big, small machines usually means lots of problems, we can talk more details if you like.
